The English Premier League is widely regarded as the best soccer league in the world.  Boasting major clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester United, and Arsenal, the league draws in many of the world’s best players and provides the highest level of soccer to be watched anywhere in the world.  I highly recommend gathering up the energy to wake up early on Saturday mornings to enjoy some of the best games you could ever see in this league.

Last season ended with spectacular drama as Manchester City scored two late goals to secure their first title in over 40 years.  The team has been bolstered by new, wealthy owners and has been recruiting the top talent to achieve the success.  Man City now has to retain their title and will be a favorite to repeat the success.

Chelsea has brought in a top quality player in Eden Hazard.  The young Belgian was the biggest transfer name of the summer and will help lessen the blow of Didier Drogba’s departure. Hazard can do it all, dribble, score, and pass.  He will be a wonderful player to watch this year.

Arsenal has struggled in recent times but may be on the rise after signing a group of attacking players like Lukas Podolski, Olivier Giroud, and Santi Cazorla.  Each player is looking for major games, and will be sure to become famous in the EPL.  If the club can hold onto their captain and lead striker Robin van Persie, the Gunners could lead the league in scoring and could compete for a trophy again.

Manchester United’s big summer signing was Shinji Kagawa.  The Japanese playmaker was wonderful at Borussia Dortmund in Germany and is sure to be a hit in England.  Man U suffered the agonizing league blow to their crosstown rivals last season and will be desperate to right the error this year.  With Wayne Rooney and company, this team is always a contender in the league.

Liverpool has suffered mightily the last few seasons, but could be back to their winning ways under new manager Brendan Rodgers.  The new manager has already signed Joe Allen and Fabio Borini to the side and will be looking to get them back to success.

And don’t forget about the other 15 teams in the league.  Clubs like Newcastle, Tottenham, Fulham, and West Ham rarely compete for the title, but can often give teams fits and produce stunning upsets.  Every team has had to earn their place in the Premiership and therefore is capable of producing magic as well.

The EPL provides wonderful and exciting matches between now and May, and is a good way to inspire young soccer players to greatness.  If you truthfully want to see how the professionals play, this is the league to follow, as it is sure to excite viewers and displays the game at the highest level.
